What the program is

The POA Caregiver™ Program is plain-language education for the person who has been named as an agent under a Power of Attorney — and who is often also providing or coordinating care for the same person. It teaches both responsibilities and how they intersect, organized around The 5 Phases of the POA Journey™: PREPARE, ESTABLISH, ORGANIZE, ACT, TRANSITION. The program is national foundational education; it pairs with a state edition (the Minnesota POA Handbook is State Edition #1) for state-specific guidance.

Who it is for

Anyone preparing to become, named as, or currently serving as an agent under a Power of Attorney for an aging or incapacitated adult, and family members helping that person. No prior training is required.

Ten modules — Foundation · Authority in Practice · Healthcare · Finances · Organization · Benefits · Family & Transitions · Protecting Yourself — delivered online, self-paced, with recorded sessions.

The Course Companion — thirty reusable worksheets, from readiness and authority verification through recordkeeping, institutions, healthcare, finances, benefits, family meetings, transitions, and your own capacity to serve.

The POA Caregiver Workbook (digital) and one state edition handbook of your choice where available.

Certificate of Completion — issued when you finish the course; yours to keep.

How to complete it

Complete all ten modules and the knowledge check after each module.

Certificate

A Certificate of Completion is issued on completion. It does not expire and is not a license, credential, or professional designation.

Program fee

$299, one time. You get the full course and your Certificate of Completion. There is no subscription and no renewal.

What the program is not

The POA Caregiver Program is education only. It does not interpret your Power of Attorney document, does not provide legal, medical, tax, or financial advice, and does not replace a licensed attorney, physician, or financial professional. When your document or your state's law needs interpretation, the program helps you recognize that and prepare the right questions for a qualified professional in your state.
